In December 2019, the EU Directive on internal reporting channels and whistleblower protection (EU 2019/1937) entered into force. This means that companies with more than 50 employees will have to implement internal compliance reporting channels and provide protection for certain whistleblowers. While some companies have had such arrangements in place for years, others will have to start now. In any case, now is the time to take a closer look at it.
One thing is to establish the policies and mechanisms required – another thing is to make it function well in practice. How do you make an efficient set-up that employees and partners trust, and which will bring forward the cases your company needs to know about? How do you actually manage and investigate incident reports from colleagues, and not being the police? What can or should be disclosed in ESG reporting? At this dialogue meeting, two large Danish companies will share views and experiences on the topics, as we look into the G of the ESG agenda.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the meeting will be a virtual, live event. We will enable participants to ask questions to the speakers and share own experiences before and during the meeting. If you have any questions for the speakers beforehand, please direct them to consultant Josefine Ellen-Marie Jørgensen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The meeting will be facilitated by Marie Voldby, Director ESG, Sustainability & Compliance at Deloitte and member of FSR – Danish Auditors’ Committee on Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility.
