Corporate social innovation through startup alliances
The sharing economy is disrupting many industries including the retail business. IKEA is turning this into a business opportunity by joining forces with social startups and eco-innovators in support of Sustainable Living around the globe.
Corporate innovation does not always come from within the company. Sometimes, it takes new perspectives, untraditional ways of thinking, or tapping into new social trends to generate sustainable disruption.
For IKEA the sharing economy is not only challenging business as usual in the home furniture industry. It has also kickstarted an innovation journey of experiments with new services and solutions in collaboration with social startups, future-living labs and more to explore the sustainable business opportunities of this new form of commerce.
At the miniconference “Disruptive sustainability & corporate social entrepreneurship”, 2 May, Jonas Engberg, Sustainability Manager at IKEA, will share his how-to insights and experience with corporate innovation efforts in alliance with green and social startups to pioneer Sustainable Living around the world.
At the miniconference you will also get how-to inspiration from:
-
The social business expert, who will share key insights on sustainable disruption and corporate social entrepreneurship (Tania Ellis, The Social Business Company)
-
The social entrepreneur, who has created a disruptive business model for online travel (Christian Honoré, Goodwings)
- The social intrapreneur, who is disrupting the shipping industry from within one sustainability step at a time (Sofia Fürstenberg, Nor-Shipping)
