European Commission publishes first final PEFCRs and OEFSRs

After the successful remodeling of the representative products using the Environmental Footprint-compliant datasets, the European Commission has published the first batch of final Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCRs) and Organisation Environmental Footprint Sector Rules (OEFSRs). These include rechargeable batteries, IT equipment, decorative paints, wine, beer, leather, dairy products and copper, among others.

For each product or organization the PEFCRs and OEFSRs provide all Environmental Footprint (EF) relevant calculation guidelines and can now be applied to calculate the EF profile of the products and organizations in scope.
