Indhold fra partner Hvad er dette?

Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and measuring impact is easier said than done. In our Sustainability Report 2018 you can see examples of what businesses can do, and how it is possible to work with the SDGs in a concrete way.

At DEM our vision is to build a future where energy is applied efficiently and sustainably in an affordable way. Focusing on a sustainable future means setting clear and transparent expectations – from respecting human and labor rights to minimizing environmental impact.

Our Values
“Our values are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the European Union’s 2030 and 2050 targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% below 1990 levels by 2050.”

  1. Our motivation to provide sustainable energy services when and where they are needed, increasing energy efficiency and the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.
  2. Our commitment to strengthening peoples living conditions and contributing to the creation of sustainable cities and communities.
  3. Our ability to be creative and adaptable, combating climate change and meeting customer needs with innovative solutions.
  4. Our willingness and desire to foster cooperation and mutual trust within all of our partnerships, maintaining a high standard of social responsibility and business ethics in a transparent manner.

Our values demonstrate a willingness and desire to foster cooperation and mutual trust within all of our partnerships, maintaining a high standard of social responsibility and business ethics in a transparent manner.

Sustainability Report 2018
We have experience with mapping SDGs and SDG Targets and creating verifiable indicators (KPIs) within a wide range of sectors, which you can read more about under the section “Our Impact” from page 25 in our Report. Here you can also see a selection of our project cases, and the difference that we have made with relation to clean energy, climate action, sustainable cities and partnerships.

From page nine “Our Footprint” shows what we have done internally at DEM to meet the Global Compact’s ten principals. We want to inspire others to use the Global Goals, and this report gives a concrete example of what is possible.

The Report is available on our website here: https://www.dem.dk/en/about/sustainable-development-goals/vision-values/

Interview: At the Danish Parliament, Mogens Lykketoft speaks up about the important role of government & industry in meeting climate targets and SDGs

Leading up to the general election that will be taking place in Denmark on June 5th, 2019, a handful of primary issues are now in hot debate in the political arena. One of these primary issues is climate change and sustainability. The big question is: What will it take? What will it take for politicians, businesses and the general public to ramp-up the changes necessary to achieve Global Goals for sustainability that include meeting climate targets and drastically reducing social inequalities? These are the issues that were addressed when Heather Louise Madsen, DEM, and Ole Busck, Aalborg Universitet, sat down with Mogens Lykketoft, Member of Parliament for the Danish Social Democrats, at the Danish Parliament on December 13th, 2018.
