Bridging Danish Life Science Innovations for Africa

In this A2i-talk, Andrew Julius Bende will talk about the Global Market Initiative launched in early 2023 by the BioInnovation Institute (BII) and how research, innovation and venture-building are integrated into these efforts. He will outline the ambitions to bridge the many incredible startups and cutting-edge innovations with emerging markets in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to address unmet needs and potentially impact the lives of millions of people.

Working with partners across India and East Africa over the past year, this talk will highlight learnings, initial strategies, and initiatives that BII has put in place to achieve this goal, while welcoming inputs, reflections, partnerships, and feedback on how BII’s value can be optimally delivered.
